Dr. Wibawa Hendra Saputera is an Assistant Professor at the Sustainable Energy and Technology Research Group, Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from ITB, his Master’s degree through a joint doubel-degree program with the University of Twente, the Netherlands, and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia, funded by LPDP. His research focuses on photocatalysis and electrocatalysis for energy conversion and environmental remediation, supported by more than 30 national and international grants. He has published over 50 scientific articles and 2 book chapters in high-impact journals including ACS Catalysis, ACS Energy Letters, Advanced Energy Materials, and Journal of Catalysis, and serves as reviewer for leading journals such as Nature Communications and the Journal of the American Chemical Society. Beyond academia, he contributes actively to Indonesia’s clean energy transition as a technical expert for the National Hydrogen and Ammonia Roadmaps, hydrogen refueling station (HRS) standards, and CO₂ utilization initiatives with PT PERTAMINA, PT Bukit Asam, PT Pupuk Indonesia Utilitas, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. His work bridges research, industry, and policy to accelerate innovation toward a sustainable, low-carbon future.
